Via an engaging simulated immersion approach tailored to their proficiency level, students will participate in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural learning in Spanish in a fun and supportive atmosphere during an 8-week session that culminates in a meaningful final task.
All sections need a minimum of 4 people. Students can add, drop, or move to another class during the first week. The price is the same if you start in week 1 or week 2. A refund can be granted if you drop the class before your second class; please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
We do not have a placement exam, but please contact us at charla@lorenzenstudios for support. At the Intermediate level, students will participate in short conversations on predictable topics of personal interest, ask and answer questions, and successfully complete everyday interactions using sentence-level communication. They will expand their ability to talk about the past and the future, and to create with language. Reading, writing, and listening activities will focus on understanding authentic texts (those made by proficient language learners for one another, not for language learners). More advanced Intermediate students ready to use all tenses and moods & a broader range of vocabulary should consider moving up to Advanced.
